Katie’s Pizza and Pasta Osteria hired Think Tank once they opened their restaurant after launching a successful Kickstarter campaign. The mission: Bring us diners.
Husband and wife team Katie and Ted Collier opened Katie’s Pizza and Pasta Osteria (KPPO) in 2013 after launching a successful Kickstarter campaign. Their goal was simple – create a unique Italian restaurant that is welcoming to all and provides a one-of-a-kind memorable experience with the best handcrafted food in St. Louis. 240 backers and $42,827 later, KPPO turned to Think Tank for their next challenge: Bring us diners.
With a strategic and innovative campaign launched in social, digital, video, public relations, email marketing, media buying, and print advertising, we catapulted the brand to what it is today.
Back in 2014, KPPO started its Giveback Tuesday program where they would select a nonprofit charity every month to donate the entire day’s profits towards. Five years later in 2019, KPPO surpassed their goal of raising $200,000 – a huge success for the St. Louis community.
Chef Katie Collier has been featured on local television outlets including FOX2 News and KSDK for her Giveback Tuesday events. She has also been featured in St. Louis Magazine, Ian Froeb’s STL 100, and many other publications.
In 2017 the Colliers launched a second location of KPPO as well as a home-delivery meal kit company, Vero Meal Kits.
Chef Katie Collier has received numerous awards for her cooking including Best Pizza & Best Pasta by Feast Magazine, Best Pizza by Ladue News, and A-List awards from St. Louis Magazine. In 2018, she was named Sauce Magazine’s Chef of the Year for the second year in a row.
KPPO has also opened its second location in Town & Country. Chef Katie Collier was even contacted by the Esquire Network where she starred in The Next Great Burger. In fact, she won her episode and made it to the finale for her Italian-inspired “Ciao Bella Burger.” In addition, an opportunity from the Schwan’s corporation to become a consultant for their pre-packaged food services followed.
Collaborating for a mission.
Think Tank is constantly working to ensure that Katie’s promise to her customers is communicated and achieved. The Katie’s Promise is to create moments of enjoyment between friends and family through passion-filled food and warm hospitality.
