Emily Guyer | Copywriter

Born and raised in St. Louis, Emily has a love for shopping in the Delmar Loop, eating frozen custard at Ted Drewes, and watching musicals at The Fox Theatre.

When deciding on a career path, Emily already knew what she would love to do for a living. At the age of 10, writing short stories came naturally. Pursuing marketing communications meant she could apply her love of writing to her desire to help businesses grow.

Emily graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a BSBA in Integrated Marketing Communications (Go Redhawks!). During her time there, she was the secretary for the business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi and, as a student, helped local businesses with their marketing materials, market research, and web content.

Then she graduated from Lindenwood University with an MS in Digital Marketing (Go Lions!). In the program, she completed a thesis/directed project on digital marketing for small businesses and learned the latest in marketing communications and analytics. While there, she joined the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society, which invites the top 10% of graduate students.

Some of her favorite hobbies include spending time with her friends and family, reading self-help books, and watching old TV shows like Perry Mason and Adam 12. She is consistently inconsistent in journaling for mental health and enjoys looking back at her old journals to see how far she’s come; after all, her first journal in 2000 has drawings.
